Who is Sam Rinaldi?

I’m from the suburbs of Beaverton, Oregon, where I grew up longboarding around town, chasing sunsets, and producing films. I’ve been creating content for as long as I can remember—starting a YouTube channel at age nine and later producing Instagram content throughout high school.

That early passion for storytelling sparked my interest in building communities, which led me to an internship with a startup called PanPalz. There, I managed social media and produced short-form video content to increase awareness of the company’s mission: creating a more personal platform that encourages young adults to connect internationally.

I’m currently studying advertising with a minor in art and technology, with a focus on entertainment. I’ve always loved movies and television, and I hope to contribute to the advertising industry by helping brands tell meaningful stories through roles such as Creative Strategist, Graphic Designer, or Project Manager. After college, my goal is to work as a junior creative strategist, combining my passion for film with innovative campaigns that reach new audiences and make a lasting impact.

Creative Director, University of Oregon, Eugene, OR Sep. 2025 – Dec. 2025

  • Collaborated with a multidisciplinary team to execute a cohesive campaign

  • Led creative direction for a campaign focused on the effects of deforestation

  • Get animal-loving families in suburbs near forests who aren't always thinking about their animal neighbors to thoughtfully bear-proof their homes.

  • The campaign framed bear trespassing cases as the result of human mistakes (e.g., leaving trash out).

  • Earned the highest grade in class 117/120 for the campaign’s quality and effective communication.

Job Shadow, Coates Kokes, Portland, OR - Jul. 2025

  • Selected for the Ducks Shadow Ducks program, I collaborated with agency PR team to support awareness initiatives for the 988 campaign by providing input on places to reach students directly, such as house shows, school clubs, and student events.

  • Gained insight into marketing agency roles by interviewing each team member of the marketing agency.

  • Head of PR gave me the insight and excitement of creating effective press releases.

Social Media Intern, PanPalz, REMOTE Jul. 2025 - Sept. 2025

  • Created short-form video with the editing software CapCut integrating the company mascot Google’s AI tool Nana Banana into advertisements on social media.

  • Applied social media trends such as, viral sounds, and slideshow meme posts, to increase the PanPalz Instagram account engagement from 0 viewers to 200 viewers.

Founder, Philosophy.comp, Beaverton, OR Apr. 2022 – Aug. 2022

  • Designed logos inspired by Greek Philosophers in Adobe Illustrator.

  • Utilized on-demand screen printing through the service Printify to maintain low overhead costs.

  • Produced Instagram ads by collaborating with my peers to communicate that Philosophy .comp is a brand for people who wish to control their own destiny.

  • Executed guerrilla marketing campaigns by covering my high school in stickers with the company logo.

  • Designed/launched a landing page for customers funneled from Instagram through using Shopify tools.
